Our Story
wema:we (way-mah-way) is a Zuni word that directly translates to "animal." wema:we is used interchangeably between the word "animal" and used when referring to Zuni fetish carvings.
Based in Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico we sell only authentic Zuni artwork and jewelry.
We work directly with Zuni artists to support the Zuni artist community. Our goal is to support local artists and educate those who are interested in Zuni culture and art.
wema:we was founded to bridge the gap and connect Zuni with the rest of the world. We not only want you to take a special piece of Zuni artwork with you but also the story behind every piece.
